President Hosni Mubarak and his accompanying delegation returned home Thursday 20/05/2010 from Athens where he paid a few hours' visit following a two-day trip to Italy. In Athens, Mubarak held talks with his Greek counterpart Karolos Papoulias on a range of international and regional issues of common interest, mainly the peace process in the Middle East region, the repercussions of the global financial crisis for Greece and ways to promote bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean and the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. Mubarak also held talks with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou at Athens airport. They discussed current issues, Greece’s financial crisis and means to weather it, in addition to bilateral relations. |
