| Foreigners granted temporary residence for tourism may obtain a re-entry visa if they need to travel abroad and re-enter Egypt to resume the period of their previously granted residence permit. They are not required to have a new entry visa upon their return but should return within the duration of the re-entry visa validity. |
Those granted Non-Tourist Residence Permit are not required to obtain a re-entry visa if they travel and return within the duration of the residence validity and did not stay abroad for more than (6) months from departure date. If planning to spend more than (6) months abroad, they are required before departure to obtain a valid re-entry visa of a maximum period of a year or according to their residence validity, in order to be allowed to re-enter Egypt and resume their previously granted residence permit. The one year condition would be excluded upon consent from the Director of (PINA) if valid residence is available and excuses for absence are accepted. |
|
They also can apply while abroad to the Egyptian consulate which sends the application to (PINA) for approval. If approved, the consulate extends the validity of the re-entry visa stamped on their passport for the approved extended period.
