The applicant submits her application, accompanied by her marriage contract as well as a proof of her Egyptian nationality, stating her wish to keep/waive her Egyptian nationality.
|
If the applicant confirms her wish to keep the Egyptian nationality, she would be treated as having dual nationality from the date of actual acquisition of the husband's foreign nationality.
|
On the contrary, If the applicant didn't confirm her wish to keep the Egyptian nationality in the application, it is deemed that she waived it. But she can still submit an application, within a year, to regain it.

| Regaining the Egyptian nationality is determined, by virtue of law, starting from the actual date of regaining the Egyptian nationality. |
