Cadets who apply for the College must meet the requirements stipulated by Law No. (91) of (1975) on the establishment of Police Academy, as amended as well as the regulations thereof issued by virtue of Interior Minister’s Decree No.(864) of (1976) , as amended. The

said requirements are:

  1. The applicant should be an Egyptian national and is to be dismissed if he changes his nationality during his study at the College.
  2. The applicant should apply upon the completion of high school education (General Secondary School Certificate or EL-Azher Secondary School Certificate ) or a year later provided that spends this year as a registered student at one of the colleges or higher institutes affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education. In the later case, the applicant should submit a certificate to this effect and the total degrees he obtained in his GSSC/ASSC should be within the limit decided by the Police Academy board.
  3. The applicant should be reputable and never convicted in crimes stipulated in the Penal or other Laws.
  4. He should be single and if he gets married during his study at the college, he shall be dismissed.
  5. The applicant should not be older than 22 years in the first of October.
  6. The applicant must meet the required height and shoulder width measures.
  7. The Specialized Medical Council decides whether the applicant meets the medical requirements.
  8. The applicant must pass the necessary admission tests.
  9. Police College graduates who intend to resign before passing 10 years in police service after graduation will have to pay back double of the tuition fees afforded by the Ministry of Interior. The cadet who resigns during his study at the College without an acceptable excuse is obliged -in corporation with his guardian- to pay back all tuition fees afforded by the Ministry of Interior during his study at the College.
  10. Applicants who pass the physical, medical, psychological, behavioral and social tests complete the other procedures.
Applicants to the “Special Section "
Similar conditions and procedures are applied for admission to the “Special Section” except that:
  1. University graduates -males or females- should apply within a year after graduation. In that regard, the year spent in practical training following graduation from the faculties of Medicine, Nursing Higher Institutes or Physiotherapy Higher Institutes is considered a university - study year.
  2. The applicant must meet the age, medical and physical requirements that are as follows:
    1. His height should not be less than 165 cm. and the average shoulder width is 83cm. As for female applicants, the required height is not less than 160 cm.
    2. His age should not exceed 28 years.
    3. He should meet the medical and physical fitness requirements.
      • Finally, applicants must get over 40% of the total degrees of physical fitness tests and are allowed to be examined using spectacles.
