The College sets some conditions that must be met by the officers who wish to join it. These conditions are:

  1. To be a commissioned police officer.
  2. The percentage of the total degrees he obtained in Police and Law subjects on graduation from Police College must not be less than 65%, unless he obtained a post-graduate diploma related to Police Sciences; according to a decision issued by Police Academy Board of Directors.
  3. The officer's period of service must not be less than 3 years.
  4. The last two reports written on the officer's Professional Competence must be with an "excellent" estimate.
  5. The officer must obtain the approval of the department in which he works.
The college also sets some conditions for the officers from Arab countries, these conditions are:

  1. To be a police officer who holds a bachelor degree in Law or a graduate university degree from one of the colleges or higher institutes recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
  2. The study the officer previously had must include a specific minimum of legal subjects that qualify him to follow up the study at the diploma he wishes to join; according to the decision of the Academy Board of Directors.
  3. When registering a student in one of the college diplomas, the college may decide – in consultation with the College Scientific Council and subject to the approval of the Academy Board – that he should study a number of complementary topics regarded as necessary for his registration in the diploma. In that case, the student should successfully pass a written test in the said topics before the diploma exams.
  4. Approval of the Ministry of Interior to which the student is affiliated.
  5. To pay the expenses of registration and study according to the decision issued by the Academy Board of Directors in that regard.
B.Admission Procedures:

  • The College prepares the booklet for admission, given for free to the officers who wish to join. The booklet contains all the details, conditions and documents needed.
  • The College annually notifies all the departments of the Ministry of Interior with the conditions, deadlines and procedures of admission as well as all the details and information about the study to be circulated among the officers in the mid of August. The General Department for Information and Relations is also notified to inform the cultural attaches of the Arab countries in Egypt so as to let them – in their turn - inform the Arab officers in their countries of origin; as foreign officers are only allowed to join the college through the cultural attaches of their countries.
  • The college establishes a committee of its officers assigned to receive, check and monitor the applications submitted by the officers who want to join the college.
  • A committee is also formed to make sure that the standards and conditions are met by the applicant officers, ex. general appearance, body shape, fitness, character. All officers stand before this committee to select those who meet the required conditions.
